SealedLight is built in Europe and early access starts in the EU in January 2027. People anywhere can join the waitlist today, and we'll invite you as we open to more countries. Wherever you live, your vault is protected by end-to-end encryption.

The grace period (30, 60 or 90 days, your choice) and an optional backup contact exist for this. Logging in or checking in at any stage cancels the process.

You can pick a grace period that suits you. A backup contact can also vouch for you.

You can sign in again on a new device with your recovery key. Without it, we may be unable to restore access.

Every nominee accepts from their own email and creates their own private key on their own device. For extra certainty, you can ask for an ID check: they upload an ID and take a live selfie, and our team reviews it.

They do not receive anything. Their items are not released to anyone else unless you assigned them to another nominee.

No system is unbreakable. The design limits what any single breach exposes, and independent audits and penetration tests aim to reduce the risk further.

No. Your vault will be encrypted on your device and we never hold the keys to read it. We will publish an independent security audit before launch.

An optional record that a file existed unchanged at a point in time. It never contains your content.

No. Your will handles your assets and legal inheritance. SealedLight is for everything else: your words, memories and the details your family will need, delivered to the people you choose. We recommend having both.

Yes. You'll be able to choose any person you trust, as long as they accept the role from their own email, and decide item by item who receives what. You can request an optional ID check with a live selfie for each person, reviewed by our team. That's different from inheritance law, which passes assets to your legal heirs. Financial assets still go through your will and executor.

SealedLight is non-custodial. It never holds your crypto. You store instructions only.

You can export your data, and there is a plan for handling any pending release.

Yes. You can ask us at any time at hello@sealedlight.com, and at launch you’ll be able to export or delete everything from your account.
